My trip to the New York City was fabulous, as usual, after New York City is the greatest city in the world. I flew in just as one of the biggest snowstorms in over 40 years, was finishing its destruction. The snow fell hard and wet, no pun intended, over the East Coast, dumping tree limps and power lines. Unfortunately, many people where without power for days. New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania were hit the hardest. Luckily, I landed safely in Newark, NJ. I took a yellow cab into the city and checked into the hotel in the city, by late evening. I went for my usual walk about in the city, stopping at my favorite Irish Pub for a Guinness. I love Guinness, in case, you didn’t know.

Monday Morning, Halloween Day. I had the pleasure of seeing the Parthenon, for the first time. OMG! What an incredible space. The best dungeon I have seen in the United States. The Parthenon is owned and operated by Mistress Ariana Chevalier. Dare I say another, OMG! Mistress Chevalier is a beautiful, intelligent, soulful Domina, that I have only recently had the pleasure of meeting. We have known of each other for over 10 years and meet briefly at one of the old Black-n-Blue Balls. So, although we have both, been Mistress, in NYC, for many years, our paths never really crossed for any length of time.

Meeting Mistress Ariana was a simpatico experience, I immediately felt like I had know her intimately for the last 10 years. First, of all, she has a warm, inviting personality, which immediately puts you ease. We all found that we shared many similar interests some within the scene and some without the scene. Ariana & I both enjoy Dominance, Sadism & Fetishes. To be more precise, intense love of hoods, whips & latex which Ariana has an extensive collection of equipment that would tantalize anyone. I had the privilege to use some great floggers, paddles, straps and it was all clean and neatly organized, something that I am a stickler about as well. One of the things I admired the most was a feature throughout the dungeon that was I like to call the “boxes” Ariana’s slave had made her these wooded boxes/cubes that hung on the walls, in which the latex & leather hoods where displayed on mannequin heads. The boxes, had glass door fronts that could be shut and even locked! Yes! Totally cool. Not only did these boxes make a great artistic statement, they were also functional too. I am also a stickler about functional art in a dungeon, yet another thing that Mistress Ariana and I have in common. We do also share an intense love of all things latex, the crazier the better. But I have to admit Ariana has me way beat in the latex arena. She has the most incredible wardrobe and also the best latex toys, hoods, body bags, catsuits, inflatable, deflatables, etc. Ariana is the Queen of Latex as far as I am concerned.

So, the question might be, what is something that Ariana & I share outside of the scene?

This might be what you would have never guessed as well, Ariana & I share an intense love of firearms. Well, I know its no surprise for those of you who know me, but I was sooooooo pleasantly surprised when I found out that Ariana was a firearms enthusiast. I will always get a tingle up my thigh when a woman, appreciates firearms and wants to shoot.

Mistress Ariana gave me the tour of the Parthenon personally; the elevator opens up to a large, inviting welcome area, where I was meet with a warm smile. The first room to the right is the Torture Room, a beautiful red room with the most fabulous suspension unit that I have ever seen. This suspension unit/frame was about 8ft by 4 ft constructed completely out of purple powder coated steel. There were steel rings for bondage points welded to the frames legs, 6 electric & crank suspension hoists, one of the suspension hoists was on a horizontal slider! At the ends of this frame were 2 black leather covered vertical X-crosses with full rig points around them. These X-crosses had the ability to slide out and go into horizontal position also. The hardware, the welding, the workmanship, for instance it was beautifully lit was floating halogen lights, all of this was impeccably done. The guy that designed and created this frame should be given an award. The torture room also housed red leather spanking bench and fabulous throne chair. It’s a very beautiful Torture Room.

The next room was just the opposite, it’s silver and cool blue color with a mirrored wall gave you the feeling that you were entering the Ice Torture Room. If the Red Room was the fire this was most certainly the ice. This room had yet another well designed suspension unit which spans a good portion of the room maybe 10 12 ft, it is powder coated in a silver color. There is an interesting leather bound chair that gives this room an ominous feeling. The first room down the hallway is the medical room painted in very traditional colors, a gyn type chair & table plus a medical case full of supplies make this room everything you will need for a proper examination. As I walk down the hallway, there is a full restroom, toilet, sink & shower, very clean and well maintained. Midway down the hall, to the right is another torture chamber with blood red walls, a wonderful wooden 4-post bondage bed complete with ankle stocks. A large wooden Throne chair and an exotic bondage chair give this room a feel of a vampire’s nest.

The last room is a sensual room with light colors, silver aperitifs painted on the walls and a really groovy suspension unit made for a corner but still 3 sided and powder coated in silver. For those of you who wonder why I keep commenting about the powder coat, let me explain why. Powder coat is basically a process by which they seal/finish the outside of steel/metal parts, sometimes in groovy colors. This coating serves as many practical ways, it keeps the metal from rusting, gives it smooth edges and such, which is better for cleaning. Plus, it gives the metal color. So, you see the significance of the powder coat on dungeon steel, keeping it smooth, rustproof and clean. Great idea. I wish I had thought of it.

So that is the tour of Mistress Ariana’s dungeon, The Parthenon, located in midtown Manhattan. What a great way to start my Halloween, one of my favorite holidays, in the dungeon, getting ready to dominate someone. I finished my sessions up early and had the evening off in the city. I went to dinner, did a little shopping and of course stopped at the Pub for a Guinness. I spent the next couple of days hanging out at the dungeon seeing some truly wonderful slaves, submissives, masochist and just plain perverts. Really good fun. I can not stress how truly great the Parthenon is, the staff, the other Domina’s that you meet as well as the space itself is a class act.

Thursday evening was one of my nights out, as I visited my sister Robin Byrd’s T-Shirt Re-Release Party at Tag, a very hip store in the Chelsea District. I have known Robin Byrd since 1989 and even though we have different mothers & fathers, we are still sisters. WE adopted each other a long time ago and have never stopped being sisters. For those of you who do not know who Robin Byrd is, shame on you. Robin Byrd starred as Mrs Hardwick in the famous porn movie Debbie Does Dallas and The Pink Ladies, but she is most famous of her own TV show in Manhattan called the Robin Byrd show. Robin Byrd took over the old Hot Legs show by Bobby Hollander, in about 1984 and she still has the show today. The show aired on cable TV very late at night. The format of the Robin Byrd show was kind of a combination of Johnny Carson and American Idol but the X-Rated version. Robin brought Porn Stars both Gay and Straight that were performing in Manhattan often at Show World and Show Palace onto the show. The show consisted of 2-4 Porn Stars that would dance to a song apiece with a questions and answer Johnny Carson style at the end. It was a great format, way before its time. Robin managed to get all of the famous Porn Stars on the show, Seka, Traci Lords, Vanessa Del Rio, Marilyn Chambers, Jeff Stryker and many more. She even had some other Hollywood stars on the show like Sandra Bernhard & RuPaul. Gotta love that. Needless to say the show was and is very successful.

Here it is the last Sunday of the month of July… For us Phoenicians this is an event in itself. This means we have survived 2 whole months of summer and have 1 more “official” month to go. It has been a HOT summer. We welcomed the monsoons about 2 weeks ago but so far have not seen that much actual rain on the ground. I do make the joke that now, “we have both and heat and humidity.” It’s kind of like, “we have both kinds of music, country and western.” At any rate I don’t think that any of us will be sorry that this is the last month of summer. It has been a while since my last blog, which usually means that I have been out of town. I spent over 2 weeks in Northern Arizona, where I completed my 18th Sundance. I participate in a Dreamer’s Sundance, where we Dance to and from the “Tree of Life” in an alchemical/ceremonial way. We dance for 3 days and 3 nights. without food and water. We dance for our own healing, in all 5 aspects of our being-emotional, physical, mental, spiritual and sexual. We dance for the collective, that the collective of mankind may be healed in there own individual way. We dance for the healing of Grandmother Earth, that she may receive energy in the form of healing. We dance for the light and toward the light. This is a part of my spiritual path, as I walk the good, red road. I have also managed to get outside and have some fun at the shooting range. I have shot a couple of local matches, USPSA and Steel Challenge. I have also been working on my NRA Marksmanship credentials. I manged to gain “Expert” status with the .22 rifle, which really isn’t all that easy. The target is a classic bullseye target, which means that the “10″ ring/bullseye ring is about the size of a quarter and at 50ft, it looks real small; at 50 yds it disappears without a scope. For Expert you must score a 180 out of a possible 200. For Distinguished Expert you must score 191 or above out of 200. So, needless to say the NRA Marksmanship Qualifications are not a joke. They do take skill and consistency. I have also been promoted to a Green Belt in my system of Martial Arts which is the Ten-No-Kishi, Kempo Karate and American Indian Fighting-Chulaka Ryu, so I now have a Green Belt with a Black Stripe. I hope to be testing for Brown Belt by the end of the year. This system is not an easy one to go through, my Soka does not just give out belts for good attendance. One must do the work, know the sets, katas and such. Also, one must do their teaching hours to get promoted in belt rank. I personally keep studying Martial Arts because it is sincerely a part of my life, I can not imagine life without it. I fully intend to keep working out in the dojo until I take my last breath. I still love the old school system of everybody is a white belt until you get your black belt. I like the simplicity of this system and the purity as well. The instructors always tell me that if we had that system no one would study because there would be no motivation to do so. If this is truly the case, I think that is a sad statement for humanity. Last but not least, I must pass on one more update. Matriesse, our beloved Den House Cat, has crossed over into the Great Round, Cat Heaven. Matriesse, got into a fight with a stray cat in the parking lot of the building, apparently catching a virus/bacteria infection from the stray and died 30 hours later. She most certainly went quickly and without being in pain/agony. Matriesse, was originally rescued from the junk yard next door and brought back to health/well being at the Den. She lived 8 really good years, being well fed and well cared for. Matriesse, will be remembered for her sweet personality, unassuming love, a small white patch of fur on her face that made it look like someone had spilled some milk on her and the most beautiful green eyes. We all wish her a comfortable, loving afterlife in cat heaven. That’s it for my Sunday morning report from the Den. Hope to see you all very soon. HM Porsche Lynn

Another break through, I am finally learning how to use my new blog. The new website has been up and running for 4 weeks and I have just figured out how to use my new blog. Proof that you can teach old cats new tricks. This is the exciting life of a Head Mistress on a Sunday afternoon, at home, just in from the pool and sun. As we say goodbye to May and welcome June, I can tell you that I do not know where the time goes. May brought a gentle spring to Phoenix with mild temperature and mild showers. We are happy to report that Mistress Sadie is settling into the dungeon very well. She has just returned from her trip to Los Angeles where she attended DomCon. Before she left, I was able to photograph her. The fabulous photos are posted on the website. Mistress Sadie chose to wear a vibrant red with white polka dot dress, accented with a black satin waist cincher and black patent leather high heeled pumps. I think these are some of the best photos that I have seen of Mistress Sadie. She made a great muse and it was a pleasure to shoot with her. I am also proud to announce the addition of a new Mistress to the staff, Mistress Alex. Alex has completed her basic training, very diligently, I must say. She is interested in slaves that enjoy domination, bondage, discipline, corporal punishment especially spanking, paddling, caning, whipping, flogging, strapping and good fashioned beat downs, fetish play, role play, feminization, humiliation, medical and much more. Mistress Alex is a stunning Dom with that classic California-Girl look, long blond hair, blue eyes, suntan complexion, 36-24-34. She s’7″ with a slender, busty, classic hourglass figure. Beyond her physical beauty is an intelligent, engaging, witty woman who will win you over and have you falling to your knees. For those of you who are regulars visitors to the Den, I encourage you to session with Miss Alex or include her in a session with you and your regular Mistress. For those of you who are new to the Den, What’s better than blond Syren to lure you into a cave of wickedness? The next project for me personally is to get the Forum or Submissive Board back up and running. I know that alot of you have truly missed being able to communicate directly with the Mistress’s. The blog is great and I will try to make god use of it, however, it will be nice to be able to talk back and forth with all of you. Remember, June brings back the “Summer Specials” We have special gifting for all kinds of sessions – 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6 hour sessions; as well as 2 Dom Sessions, Submissive Sessions. You must call for Summer Special Gifting. I look forward to you visiting us at the Den of Indomitus, Head Mistress Porsche Lynn

Our website had become outdated and difficult to manage. It is desire to give the website a face lift, but retained a user friendly system to navigate it. I feel that I have accomplished that with a little help from my friends. I will be the first to admit that I am not a computer wizard the truth is I can barely pick up my emails and surf the web. And another truth is that I am not really interested in learning either. Many thanks to the Goddess, that there are people out there who understand all of this computer stuff and have been very helpful to work with. I hope that you enjoy the new site. Feel free to add your comments on the Boards or my Blog.

As always, Spank you very much, HM Porsche Lynn.

The first day we taught 8 hours of unarmed self defense against an unarmed person, as well as defense techniques against an attacker with a gun, knife or club. I feel like the most important in the beginning stages is to get people to raise their code of awareness and to not put themselves in vulnerable places. The 2nd day we taught a basic NRA Home Firearm Safety Course.

In this course an individual learns to handle firearms safely, indentify & unload firearms, indentify ammunition, safe storage of firearms & ammunition. I brought some basic firearms for them to begin to learn to handle safely-handguns-revolver, semi-auto pistol; rifle-bolt action, lever action & semi-auto; shotguns-pump and semi-auto. The weekend training was great. I feel like each attendee received valuable training that may save their life or the life of a loved one.

I went to the Rhythm Room with one of my favorite slaves, I call him my Skiperdoodle. We went to see the fabulous Tab Benoit and the Voice of the Wetlands. Tab was joined by some tremendous musicians from Louisiana, like Cyril Neville & Big Chief Montauk. For those of you who don’t know, I am a total Blues Fan. I love the Blues, old Blues like Big Mama Thornton, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Koko Taylor and new Blues like Tab Benoit, Taj Mahal, Debbie Davies.

As far as I am concerned the Blues is the originators of all music that we hear today. It holds the key to the soul of all music. I love the Blues and you will often see me at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix, Arizona. If you see me in the club, introduce yourself and buy me a beer :)
